Our History
Our family's commercial and trade enterprise dates back 190 years, inherited from our great-grandfather along the trade routes of the Caucasus and Russia, persisting through successive generations. The family's first encounter with the glass industry dates to the years 1365 to 1370 when local commerce led to securing the nation's top glass distributorship. Subsequent years saw significant advancements in glass and sodium carbonate trade in the Caucasus and Russia, culminating in the establishment of various production facilities since 1380. Strategic management, an excellent technical team, unique expertise, and past experiences have positioned the Sahand Industrial Group as the sole private glass specialization complex in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Today, boasting several large-scale glass production units, the group ranks among the region's foremost glass producers.
The Mahbubian family trading company was established in 1991 by its managing director, who had primarily focused on glass trading within the province and the country. This marked a significant milestone in the family's business development. As the company's commercial activities grew and expanded, it began representing various glass factories and promoting domestically produced goods. To further enhance its role in the buying and selling of large-scale domestic products and to better serve its customers, the company made the decision to acquire a larger warehouse on a 1500 square meter plot of land in Rajaee Industrial Town, located in the East Azarbaijan province. This strategic move allowed for the expansion of activities and the improvement of the company's business infrastructure, supported by a dedicated team of 30 personnel.
